Annual Events in Panama City Beach: A Year-Round Calendar for 2026 Visitors

We get asked about timing all the time. Some weekends in PCB are quiet beach mornings; others are 50,000 motorcycles thundering down Front Beach Road. Both can be a great trip if you know what’s coming. Here’s the honest local calendar of the big annual events, with confirmed 2026 dates where available and practical notes from people who live here year-round.

January

Panama City Beach Mardi Gras and Music Festival, January 30-31, 2026. Parades through Pier Park, live music, fireworks. Family-friendly, free, low-key compared to New Orleans but a real event. Local tip: if you’re staying at Sundial, drive to Pier Park (5 minutes east) for the parade and head back west when you’re done. The west end stays quiet.

March

Emerald Coast Cruizin’ Spring, March 12-14, 2026 at Aaron Bessant Park. More than 3,000 hot rods and classics, plus cruise-ins, concerts, parades, and 125+ automotive vendors. Even if you’re not a car person, walking through the show on a Saturday is a real PCB experience. Stays mostly in the Pier Park area; doesn’t spill into the west end.

Spring Break season runs all of March in PCB. Heads up: the beach has more energy than usual, the bars are busier, and Front Beach Road traffic picks up after dark. The west end where Sundial sits stays calmer than the central beach all month, but if your group prefers quiet, the shoulder months on either side of March are a different vibe. If you’re here for the energy, you’ll love it.

April

UNwineD, presented by Publix, April 3-4, 2026 at Aaron Bessant Park. Fine wine, gourmet food, live entertainment, chef demos. The premier elevated event on the PCB calendar. Worth a date-night detour even if wine isn’t usually your thing.

Thunder Beach Spring Rally, April 29 to May 3, 2026. Twice-a-year free motorcycle rally that draws tens of thousands of riders to PCB. The largest free rally in the U.S. and a real local fixture. Expect more bike traffic on Front Beach Road and US-98, more vendors and live music at the rally hubs, and a livelier overall scene. If you ride or love the rally, book early. The west end where Sundial sits is a quieter base than the Front Beach Road condos if you want to be near the rally without sleeping in the middle of it.

May

Florida Jeep Jam, May 11-16, 2026 at Frank Brown Park. More than 2,000 Jeeps, obstacle course, dunes day off-road, topless-for-turtles beach krawl, vendor village. Family-friendly and good fun if you’re a Jeep person. Front Beach Road sees a lot of doorless Jeeps that week.

Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, May 28-31, 2026 at Frank Brown Park. Four-day country music festival, headliners in 2026 are Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton, Riley Green, and Post Malone. This one books out hotel and rental inventory for the entire weekend; if you want to come for the Jam, lock your stay by mid-March. Frank Brown Park is 10 minutes east of Sundial.

Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25, 2026. Unofficial kickoff of summer. See our Memorial Day weekend guide for the full breakdown.

June through August

Peak summer. The beach is busy but the weather is at its best. Pop-up afternoon thunderstorms most days from June through September, typically 30-60 minutes and gone by dinner. The Aaron Bessant Park amphitheater runs free Thursday night concerts most of summer through August. Beach Music Friday concert series at Pier Park most Fridays.

Independence Day fireworks, July 4 at Pier Park and the County Pier. Best viewing from the beach east of the pier, but the west end at Sundial gives you a quieter beach with the same fireworks visible up the coast. Plan dinner before 6 PM if you’re going near Pier Park; traffic locks up after that.

September

Shoulder season. Crowds thin out after Labor Day. Water still warm. Our favorite month for a calm trip if you can travel without kids on a school schedule.

October

Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Festival, Columbus Day weekend at Pier Park. Citywide family festival with parade, pirate ship encounters, fireworks. See our Pirates of the High Seas Festival guide for the full breakdown.

Thunder Beach Fall Rally, October 21-25, 2026. The second of the year’s two motorcycle rallies. Same setup as spring, more bikes, more vendors, more events at the rally hubs. Cooler weather makes it a popular ride. If you want to be near the rally without the central-strip noise, the west end is a quieter base.

November

Emerald Coast Cruizin’ Fall, November 12-14, 2026 at Aaron Bessant Park. Same setup as the spring show, just with cooler weather. Often the better of the two if you don’t like crowds in shorts and flip-flops at a car show.

Beach Home for the Holidays, late November through end of December. PCB lights up Pier Park, drops a beach ball at midnight on New Year’s Eve, runs holiday markets, parades, fireworks. Quiet residential streets like Sundial Street do not get holiday decorations; if you want lights, walk Pier Park in the evening.

December

New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop at Pier Park. Pier Park gets crowded; the County Pier fireworks are visible from a long stretch of beach. The west end is a quieter spot to watch.

How we’d think about timing your trip

If you want a calm beach week with no event noise: September, early October before Pirates Fest, mid-November between Cruizin and the holiday season, or January through mid-February.

If you want to plan around an event: book early. Thunder Beach, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, and Pirates Fest all push rental availability down dramatically.

If you want to avoid events entirely: cross-reference our Memorial Day and Pirates of the High Seas guides; both have detailed traffic and crowd notes. The official Visit Panama City Beach event calendar is the source of truth for any schedule changes.

Ready to book around an event? Reserve a Sundial Suites stay direct and save 10 to 15 percent versus the OTAs. Text Reanna at 360-865-9888 with any timing question; we can usually tell you which side of an event week books up first.
